Welcome to Divan. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS application. We believe in simplicity and respect for your privacy.

1Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or store:

• Your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information
• Account credentials or login information
• Your reading history or favorite poems (stored locally on your device only)
• Location data
• Contacts or calendar data
• Health or biometric data

2Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device using iOS standard storage (UserDefaults / local files). It is never transmitted to us or any third party:

• Your saved favorite poems
• In-app purchase status (Remove Ads)
• Your preferred font and theme settings
• Widget configuration preferences
• Notification preferences

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the app.

3Third-Party Services

PersianPoems uses the following third-party services that may collect data as described in their own privacy policies:

Google AdMob (Advertising)
If you have not purchased the Remove Ads upgrade, the app displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)
We use Google UMP to manage consent for advertising in regions covered by GDPR and other privacy regulations. You may be presented with a consent dialog on first launch.

Ganjoor API (Poetry Content)
The app fetches Persian poetry content from the Ganjoor public API (ganjoor.net). Requests to this API may include your device's IP address as part of standard network communication. We do not log or store these requests ourselves.

Apple StoreKit (In-App Purchases)
Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple. We receive only a confirmation of a successful purchase. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

Apple CloudKit / App Groups
The app uses iOS App Groups to share the current poem with your home screen widget. This data transfer happens entirely on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

4Photo Library Access

PersianPoems requests access to your Photo Library only when you choose to save a generated poetry wallpaper to your Camera Roll. This permission is used solely for that purpose and only when you explicitly initiate a save action. We do not read, scan, or upload any photos from your library.

5Push Notifications

If you enable notifications, the app will deliver a daily poem notification locally — generated on your device. We do not use a remote push notification server, meaning no data about you is transmitted to our servers in connection with notifications.

6Children's Privacy

PersianPoems is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly address the matter.

7Your Privacy Rights

Since we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete. If you are in the EU, UK, Canada, or California, your rights under GDPR, PIPEDA, or CCPA are effectively protected by design — we simply do not hold your data.

To remove all app data: uninstall the app from your device. To manage ad personalization, use the consent dialog within the app or visit your device's privacy settings.

8Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
